Agapanthus are sun-loving plants produce large spherical flowerheads from middle of the summer onwards. Their large blooms of dandelion like flowers sway on tall stems above clumps of lush green foliage. Agapanthus my require some shelter especially the evergreens varieties, so these are best grown in pots that can be brought indoors to over winter. Agapanthus do not endure being sodden wet, especially during cold winter months.
